Guys, have not heard any thing about my I-140 PP.
I was mailed on 03/23 thru DHL. Is it normal. I was thinking they will approve it in 5-15 days?

After interacting with a lot of people who have benefiitted a lot from IV but have taken IV for granted, I personally feel that these people must know certain things LOUD and CLEAR
Nothing comes for free, and remember such a concept of Grassroots organization has never sprung up.
IV is full of Good Samaritans - yes highly skilled but not selfish - IV stands for peace, unity and has helped you all when you needed IV the most.
IV HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL ONLY BECAUSE OF ITS PEOPLE. BEING A GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION, IV COMPRISES OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND ME.

Hi ,
I'm looking for university professor/asst professor/lecturer job whereby university can sponsor h1b.If anybody can point me to universities which sponsor h1b in/near bay area ,it would be great. the local community colleges does not seem to sponsor h1b.

I am curious; what is your qualification? Folks who have a serious shot at a faculty position normally do not bother about asking questions about H1-B; that's the least of the hurdles of getting a faculty position.

We are caught in a terrible comedy of errors, but unfortunately it is not funny all.
My husband is from Turkey, and was/is here on an F-1 visa. To make a long story short, we filed our I-485 & I-130 applications shortly after we were married. Months after this, deportation proceedings were (wrongfully) initiated against my husband.
While we were waiting for our court date to have the deportation proceedings terminated, USCIS at the NBC denied my husband's I-485 for the sole reason that there were deportation proceedings against him.
The deportation proceedings were terminated with a note on the paperwork from the judge that the charges were wrongfully initiated. The judge asked the Federal attorney to ask CIS to help us in NY, but NY office advised they can't do anything since this decision was made in Missouri.
At this point, my husband has not been able to work (work document denied also, of course), the government has cost us $1,000s of $$ in attorneys, and we do not have money to pay them their almost $1,000 to start the I-485 process over again. We need our original case reopened and approved.
Oh, and before deportation proceedings were terminated, but after the I-485 was denied, we passed a Stokes Interview which was requested through my I-130 due to the deportation proceedings. My I-130 has been approved.
We have filed an I-230-B for appeal, but without the fee. So we have no receipt letter nor case #. We have been told by our lawyer that we need to get the help our our U.S. Representative, Anthony Wiener. However, a friend of mine, who helps immigrants in another state, told me we need to work through our senator, Chuck Schumer's office.
Is there any advice on working through a representative's or a senator's office to re-open/ investigate a case.... which is more effective, faster, etc?
Is there anything else we can do on our own or have our attorney do?
Right now, I'm fed up with our lawyer, and do not feel we are getting enough information from him, or perhaps he is not qualified to answer my questions; so I am seeking other advice.
Any advice is welcome.

I have a EB2 labor that is approved from BEC. But i have already applied 140 and 485 using EB3 labor and both are pending. Now I am planning to interfile 485 once my old 140 approves.
My question is does my labor expire, If I dont use it to file 140.

Have another question regarding AP, we have filed 485 in jul 07, we got Recept for AP, but no other updated on AP, in case of Emargency can we go to the local office to get AP, is there any Rule that poeple applied AP for the first time will not get the same from local office.

You need the reference. Go to the solution window (located on the right side and right click on it and select add reference). Empty project is just that, empty.
Console applications are normally the non-GUI projects. It will default and add certain references.
Just for some future information you can create class library for creating a dll with a project. Useful if you are using certain code in multiple solutions. In this way instead of including the files you just include the project and in the solution put a reference to the project and it includes the .dll (dynamic link library) file when building the solution.

Once you take appointment you can call the same consulate and sned required documents and get PIMS verified.

The risk is that you do not know which petition will be approved first. According to the "last action rules" principle, the last petition to be approved will be your wife's status. For instance, if the H4 petition is approved last she may need to file a change of status to be in H1 or alternatively travel out and re-enter with the desired visa, and vice-versa.

my lawyers have indicated that i would need a 551 stamp in the passport if the card doesn't arrive on time, using AP etc is not an option.
anyone been through this situation and has more details?
